About Us
Walking With You Through Life’s Hardest Moments
At New Hope Grief & Ministerial Support, we believe no one should have to face grief, loss, or major life transitions alone. Life can change without warning, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or spiritually unsettled. During these moments, having a compassionate and steady presence can make all the difference.
Our purpose is simple yet meaningful: to walk alongside individuals with care, understanding, and respect—offering support when life feels heavy and hope feels distant.
Meet Your Personal Care Minister
Rev. Brent Shelton
Rev. Brent Shelton has served as an ordained minister since 1988 and brings more than 25 years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director. This unique combination of ministry and professional experience provides deep insight into the realities of grief, loss, and the emotional impact of life’s transitions.
As the founder and sole provider of New Hope Grief & Ministerial Support, Rev. Shelton personally provides all services. This ensures continuity of care, confidentiality, and a strong, trusting relationship with each person served.
His work is guided by a deep commitment to compassion, faith, and presence—meeting people where they are and walking with them toward hope and healing.
Our Mission
New Hope Grief & Ministerial Support exists to provide faith-informed, non-clinical grief and ministerial care for individuals navigating loss, life transitions, and spiritual challenges. Through compassionate listening, guidance, and presence, we help individuals find clarity, healing, and renewed strength.
We strive to create a safe and welcoming space where people feel heard, supported, and never judged—regardless of where they are in their journey.
Our Approach
Support at New Hope is rooted in compassion, dignity, and respect. We understand that grief and struggle are deeply personal experiences, and there is no single path to healing. Our approach is gentle, supportive, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
Services may include listening, reflection, spiritual direction, prayer (if desired), and practical guidance for navigating difficult seasons of life. We do not rush the process or offer quick fixes. Instead, we walk with you at your pace.
